SIGHTSEEING

Jaén is a city to enjoy at a leisurely pace, it is a highly accessible city with short distances between attractions. It is a city to admire on foot, to discover its streets, squares, great monuments and secret corners.

BY CAR

It is better to forget about using cars in Jaén. You can park your car and walk around Jaén’s streets. The city has several public underground parking spaces. Some of the most popular are the Constitución square, San Francisco Market, Municipal Park, Perfumes Square, La Merced, Salobreja and Alameda.

TAXIS

You can find a fantastic taxi network in Jaén. There are plenty of taxi ranks around the whole city. Some of them are located at San Francisco square, Dean Mazas square, the hospital, Municipal Park, Andalusia Avenue (Universidad popular) and Virgen de la Capilla (night taxi service).

URBAN BUSES

Urban buses network runs from seven in the morning to eleven at night; it connects the different quarters of the city, the streets, squares and parks. Buses are a great means of transport in a city with plenty of slopes. There are about 20 different bus lines; their main intersections are Constitution square and Virgen de la Capilla Street. Some buses link the capital with Las Infantas, a village close to Jaén, located 12 kilometres from the capital, near to the Bailén-Granada A-44 motorway. Some bus lines link Jaén with the “Puentes”, small population areas located in the outskirts of the city.
